Ok, so I haven't updated in awhile! I'm sorry! I can't say I haven't had time either, because that's not the case, I just haven't felt like it...

Anyways, Kialee is getting really big, I have her 2 month check up next Tuesday June 20th, she also gets her 2 month shots...Speaking of that, I talk with a lady that comes right out to my house to see how ( Read more... )

We've used the infant tylenol before/after Ryan's gotten his shots. It does work somewhat. It depends on their reaction to the shots the first couple of times and if they've gotten a fever before. It's up to you. I drugged Ryan so he wouldn't be so bad the first couple of nights but he was sleeping thru the night already.

hmm...I will have to try it I think, because I have heard they don't do well with shots! But then again every child is different!

Ryan's done fine. No fever or anything at all. A little fussy but thats to be expected.

Well you can give Kialee the tylenol before the shots or the doc will tell you you need to give it to her after it. so regardless she's getting some most likely unless you dont' believe in that. i'd say do it before so it will have kicked in by the time the shots are done and the pain starts.

Hey! I'm so glad she's finally past the freaking-out-in-the-car-seat thing. That's so frustrating. (David still does it if someone isn't back there with him. Ugh.)

I found that the first round of shots wasn't so bad. The second round made my son much fussier, but he got over the first round pretty quickly. Since I breastfeed, nursing immediately after the shots really helps to calm him down. If Kialee uses a pacifier, maybe have that on hand, or a bottle, something comforting to her, and hold her close afterward. Let her know that her Mama is there and will take care of her and she shouldn't take too long to calm down. If nothing else, Tylenol afterward might help her to sleep, if that's a problem. (It hasn't been a problem for David so far, but obviously every baby reacts differently.) Good luck, and try not to cry or punch the nurse who gives the shots. Lord knows I always want to.

Oh believe me, I'm sure I will want to punch the nurse!

With David freaking out in the car, try a little music thing that attaches to the car seat. Thats how I get Kialee to calm down...Thank god for the music toys!! LOL...

Yeah, She loves her pacifier,so I will definately make sure I have that on hand!

Thanks!
