It bothers my well-cultivated sense of superstition that all these articles keep proclaiming Lance Armstrong the Tour de France winner, "unless some disaster befalls him." In the Kay Hale world of stuff you don't say, "unless some disaster befalls him" is a close second to proclaiming anyone the winner of anything they haven't actually won yet

H and I are following the Tour as closely as we can for people without television (yay broadband and olntv.com!), and are also getting alternately tired of and nervous about the fact that all the commentators seem to have granted the win to Armstrong with 6 days left to go. Stupid, but I can't stop thinking, "Shut up! Don't jinx it, damn you!" But I guess no matter what happens, it's an amazing story.
We're probably going to miss the last two days of the Tour, though, since we'll be out riding ourselves (on a significantly sorter/slower ride, but still long) all weekend, but hopefully we can catch replays somewhere on Sunday night.
