Aw. <3

I really like this. I like Neal working out his feelings through art, and Peter being there for him and helping him through it.

I just want to hug them all so much.

Thanks so much, Asimaiyat!

I think they can use a hug. ;)

Great story! A good picture of Neal's self-recrimination and apathy. I love Peter being there for him.

Thanks Trystings!

I suspect we'll be seeing at least a little self-recrimination and apathy next season--probably on both Peter and Neal's part.

This is lovely. I love this line:
“Every once and a while I understand why Elizabeth married you.”

And the painting with the toys -ooh, that was good.

Thank you, Daria!

I'm glad you liked the idea of that painting; it's weird, but I wanted something both childish and disturbing.

Thanks again!

Aw - the fact that Neal quotes Rice back at Peter was a lovely way to show Neal's frame of mind. I loved how Peter refuted her - to him, they are partners! And (like Daria) I love the "sometimes I understand..." line. Very cute. :-)

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked this. Lol--and I'm sure Neal will get over his desire to be just a, um, tool in Peter's belt before long. ;)

Very nice character study! I really like the broken doll in the painting--it is disturbing, and works with what we know Kate was to Neal, an ideal, a treasured keepsake. Terrific image.

Thanks, Scrollgirl!

I love your way of describing what Kate was to Neal: "an ideal, a treasured keepsake." I wish we knew what Kate really was--a victim? A schemer? Some combination? Whatever she was, I wanted that painting to express Kate's death--and the way Neal must feel broken and mutilated himself.

Thanks again!
