My dear, I'm a slasher with a Daddy!Kink, so, this pushed all my slasher/sex buttons, even if you didn't mean to lol. Lovely and well-written. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much, Sonia! I love slash (and OT3)--and I set out to write Daddy!Kink, lol. Maybe someday I'll pull it off. (Fortunately I like gen stories too.)

I don't remember if this is canon:

I’m much better at impossible desires.

But if it isn't, it should be.

As you so well know, I'm a huge OT3 fan, but this is just so perfectly lovely and I can see the whole story as being canon. Everyone feels very real and Neal's irrational anger is authentic too.

Thank you for a lovely. lovely story.

Thank you so much, Elrhiarhodan!

I don't think that line is canon, unless I subconsciously stole it. So I'm going to claim it. :P

I'm so glad Neal's irrational anger came across as authentic. And I love OT3 as well; but I also like exploring the Father-son aspects of Peter and Neal's relationship. (Ok, I'm a sucker for the father-son stuff.)

Thanks again!

I can relate to Neal as someone who wants impossible things.

It's a beautiful story and because Neal is childlike in so many ways it does fit in.

Thanks Ultracape!

I agree that Neal is often childlike. (And I love how Matt Bomer compares him to a child testing his boundaries.) Of course, that's only one side of Neal. But, despite the problems that side may create, I think it's a large part of his charm!

I like this deeper backstory on Neal. There does seem to be something melancholy about him and the vulnerability you showed here, to me, is perfectly in character.

I agree that the sentence of Neal wanting impossible things is just brilliant.

And, bravo to Peter for not making fun of him. (Elizabeth is SUCH a wise woman.)

Thanks so much, Damietta!

I'm so glad Neal's melancholy and vulnerability seemed on target for his character. And for all that Peter and Neal rib each other, I think they know when not to tease too. :)

And of course I agree about Elizabeth!

This is so sweet, and this really seems like something Neal would feel upset about. And I love that he's aware that it's irrational and unfair.

And that he wants to go camping :)

Great job!

Thanks Daria!

I'm glad this rang true. And, yeah--I think Neal will be up for the camping if it includes a luxury lodge! (Or maybe I'm underestimating him? Maybe he loves the wide outdoors? But if it were me, I'd insist on the lodge, lol.)
