This just keeps getting better and better. You're really saying a lot in just 300 words tracking the path of Neal's relationships with Peter. Wonderful. Keep going.

Thanks Lady Gray! I'm trying to figure out a way to use 'case' right now . . .

I'm just loving these. I can only imagine what it will be like when Peter finally does get home. We took a vacation just the two of us when our son was three. We left him at home with his grandmother. Talked to him on the phone and everything seemed fine. Until we got home. He followed me from room to room, never letting me out of his sight for weeks! Poor little guy.

Aw! Thanks, Klairi!

Now I want to have Neal following Peter from room to room, lol. (He might just come close--he's not going to want to let Peter out of his sight!)

Well, I think in an interview Matt Bomer did say Neal was like a pre-schooler, so there is presence....

Aww, I'm positive Neal would miss Peter if he was injured and had to be away from him. Nice job of showing that.

Since I am a fan of Peter/Neal, I'm reading your chapters through slashy colored glasses. Neal is more fond of Peter than any man would be for his father. Yet I think the combination of Neal needing Peter's guidance as a son would from his dad, and Neal's love for Peter in a subtle, romantic fashion, is what makes this such compelling storytelling for me.

I'm looking forward to Peter coming home, also.

Thank you!

Thanks so much Shelley!

Honestly, I agree that the romantic element between Peter and Neal is there, even in this verse--but I think it's the road not taken for them.

The way the stars aligned in this verse, they accidentally ended up focusing on the father-son aspects of their relationship, and that kind of forces them not to focus on any potential romance, if that makes sense. (?)

Absolutely. It's the father-son aspect that hooked me.

Thanks, again!
