This is so delightful. Neal is building a past in his mind to replace the empty places inside him.

Exactly! (As an afterthought, I decided that maybe he's wondering how he'll raise kids of his own someday too. If he can get past the idea that Kate's his one and only, that is.) Thanks Ursula!

Hey, Neal never got to ask his question! What circumstances?

LOL! I just pictured Peter having "the talk" with a young Neal. Peter would be a great dad.

Nice installment! I'm working on a little something that these stories have inspired.

Thanks Klairi! I can't wait to see what you come up with. :)

Neal will have a chance to ask specific questions--I just couldn't fit it into these 300 words. But it'll come!

Aw, thanks! (Some of them come with a warning for fluffiness, lol.)

I like the way the tables are turned, and Neal gets to tell Peter when to go to bed. :) And I love that Neal is asking for specifics on how Peter would have raised him. I'm curious too! :)

Thanks Jet! I'm going to get to specifics--just couldn't fit it into the 300 word max of this part. But it'll come!

Nice one!

:) I had an idea about why Neal might keep asking this question. Or, really, I hope I know why he's asking. It's actually probably just wishful thinking on my part ;)

Thank you!

I started out with the idea that, as Peter suspected, Neal is re-imagining his childhood. Then I realized that maybe he's thinking about how he might raise his own kids someday too, if he can get past the idea that Kate's the one and only. (Although that was a secondary thought on my part.)

And maybe there are other reasons I haven't thought of yet! Would you like to share your idea? (No pressure!)

lol, like i said, it was wishful thinking - i was hinting that I'm such a perv that I assume Neal is hinting that he really wants Peter to spank him

wrong series, though - my bad ;)

Hey, I'm not against it! Hell, Neal flirted with that idea already in this series, but Peter nixed it. I think Peter's going to keep shying away from some of Neal's "Daddy issues," lol--but you never know.
