A tangential introduction concerning credit size
I've been reviewing a lot of movies from the 80s that I liked then, to see if I still like them. One thing I've observed that I hadn't realized before is that credits were enormous in screen size in 1980s. I totally agree with all that. It does seem like the blame has to be laid pretty much entirely on Lucas and Spielberg. The effects were great except when there was too much CGI, which I assume was Spielberg's choice. All the actors seemed to be having a lot of fun, especially Harrison Ford, except when the lines they were given just totally weren't working. The motorcycle chase was pretty classic Indy, without being too derivative of the previous films. It could have been great. Oh well.

As it is, I enjoyed myself, and found it especially fascinating how Ford looks the same as ever from some angles, and impossible aged from others. But I'm not sure I'll ever watch it again, unless I happen to catch it on TV at an idle moment.

I don't know... my feeling coming out was that Harrison Ford wasn't having any fun at all, and so neither did I.
