Here are the Top 50 conservative rock songs, as chosen by someone at the National Review, a magazine you pinkos could all learn something from I might add. 8. “Bodies,” by The Sex Pistols. ; Violent and vulgar, but also a searing anti-abortion anthem by the quintessential punk band: “It’s not an animal / It’s an abortion.”

According to his autobiography, Lydon wrote that song about a mentally ill woman who was raped and impregnated by male nurses during her stays in asylums.

As for #38, considering how hard some Republicans are pushing for a nanny state - where we are surveilled without knowledge and jailed without cause - wouldn't Hagar's position be more libertarian than conservative?

I don't think Rush intended "The Trees" for conservative values. I think they were getting all whacked out on ganja and reading too much Tolkien.
