See, the thing is, you need to know the value of what you have/want.
For example, Toys R Us was selling Atelier Iris 2 for the PS2 for $10. I bought 4. One for me, 3 to trade. They are worth 600 points each. If you equate 100 points = 10 dollars (which is fair, if you look at what's worth what), then I am making out like a bandit.
If you're going to buy stuff cheap in order to get stuff on there, you need to know what you're getting. Having a web enabled phone is what I will be doing soon, once I get the SideKick, so I can do it too.
Then again, you can just unload the stuff you don't want too, and get points with little-to-no effort at all.
Let's say you have a copy of Oblivion, rated at 600 points to get. I pay 600 points for it. Do you get all of those 600 points or do you only get 500 and the company takes 100 points as a gratuity (or some other division)?
If you have Oblivion, and send it out, you get the FULL 600 points. Likewise, if you request Oblivion, it deducts the full 600.
However, where the company makes its money is some folks pay for trades. I believe when you sing up, you get like 2 trades to start. Then, after your first successful trade (sending on your part, that is), you get an extra 5 trades. You also get 5 trades per referral. If you run out of trades but still want to keep going, that's when you pay Goozex. It's like $5 for 5 trades, and then you start saving if you buy more at a time.
Thus far I haven't had to buy trades, but I'm down to 1 trade and 500 points. Once it matches up to a game I'm looking for, if I don't get some more referal points, I'll have to pay. But $5 is practically an investment if I can get what I want.
Does the presence/abscence of manuals and other things maps, shortcut "cheatsheets", packaging the game with a strategy guide, etc... change the points value of it? Are games assumed to NOT be with these items unless otherwise specified and anything it comes with is just a good deal?
How fast do things move on there? Will I never get rid of my copy of "Zombie rampage" for the Dreamcast or is pretty much everything moved eventually?
Ah, the old question of cases and manuals... actually, they get around it. You can offer, and request, the games in one of three ways: Disc only, Disc and Case, or Complete Package (Disc, Manual, Case, and whatever else might have come with it). The only caveat is the points values are the same for all 3, which I don't understand. Regardless though, you can say you only want the Complete Package, and that is the only one you'd get, and conversely, you can offer only the disc, and that's all you have to send

You forgot to mention to everyone that by following the link you provide that you are earning points by signing up new members! So don't give this jerk any free pass! This ass has never even worked a deal or trade on this site. He is only recommending it so he can get some free stuff. If you are interested in it just go to www.gozex.com and sign up. This guy never does anything for anyone unless there is something in it for him!

2) I have several trades to my credit, actually
3) Yes, I do get trades for referals, I believe I mentioned that in one of the posts
4) There is no "points" for referals, just # of trades. You have to make the trades or buy the points for points.
5) Just in case questions 2-4 got in the way, who the fuck are you?
