And you chased Donnie Baseball out of the organization by offering the managing job to Joe Girardi, now Jorge Posada might be the next to leave since they say he's supposedly uncomfortable at the idea of playing for Girardi.
Don Mattingly is my 2nd favorite Yankee of All Time. However, Joe Girardi was Manager of the Year last year, plus he's won 3 World Series. Donny Baseball has never won anything as a player OR a coach. If he's going to quit over Girardi getting the job over him, I'm sorry to hear it, but that's his choice, and a bad one at that.
As for Posada, he needs to get over it too. Girardi wasn't re-signed in 2001 cause Jorge was the future. I think after all this time Girardi isn't holding grudges, so I can't see why Posada should have a problem.
