Once again, the United Nations is USELESS, and negotiating is POINTLESS!

Force is the only thing some folks understand, and I wish SOME country wouldn't be full of pussies and help out Georgia.

But none will, and very soon, the USSR will be back.

1) Georgia started it.
2) Abkhazia and South Ossetia are areas that legitimately from the 1991 independence of Georgia NEVER WANTED TO PART WITH RUSSIA
3) While I agree that Russia's aggression is fucked and that something should be done - The UN is not useless. I blame the French. They were the ones that negotiated that shit ceasefire. Blame France.

1) Georgia fired on its own people. That is not Russia's problem or concern, and certainly not a reason to invade (they'd almost be OK if they came in a protection, this has gone far, FAR beyond that)

2) Quebec has historically not wanted to be a part of Canada... does that mean the US can invade to take it, and while we're at it, take the rest of Western Canada, since they're not really keen on Eastern Canada? Or, ok, since "well, they're not ethnically Americans", if France did it? Yes, South Ossetia voted to secede, but so has Quebec from Canada, hell, SO HAS STATEN ISLAND FROM NYC! Non-binding is non-binding.

3) Oh, I blame France too, but not just off of the poorly-created cease-fire, but as Europe as a whole. Because once again something is happening in their backyard, and once again, they're all too chicken-shit to do anything. Hell, at least France TRIED, which is more than the rest have done.

And the UN IS useless, otherwise Dafur would be a footnote in history right now.

Georgia fired on Russians stationed in South Ossetia - there has been a long build up in Russian military with the "blessing of the inhabitants to protect their interests"- not that I think that's cool, but it's the truth. The new president of Georgia ran on a platform to subjugate these two provinces and provoke Russian interests that were there - meaning, the Georgians were playing on the rights of sovereignty that were not viewed the same by the people of those two regions
