I wanted to hate this book.

For years, all you keep hearing about is how great Alan Moore's run on Swamp Thing was.  How he took the title, and in effect comics in general, in a much darker direction.  Even a more adult direction.  I blew that off as hooey.  It can't be THAT good.

Damn it all, it is!

you need to read Blackest Night, Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps. Hands down the best book out there right now.

I also am really digging Daredevil, Captain America, Batman Detective, Red Robin

Once Blackest Night is done and it's collected, you're damn skippy I'm picking it up.

Red Robin... I hate that they brought Jason Todd back, but at least he's form a different Earth. That makes it more bareable.

Unlike Bucky.

And also bringing back Barry Allen pisses me off (unless he's subsequently become a Black Lantern) and is utterly disrespectful to the last 25 years and to Wally West.

First off - Jason Todd coming back is HELLA geigh. The Bucky return - seriously, The Winter Soldier series by Ed Brubaker was really brilliant. I like Brubaker a lot. What he is doing with Cap and Daredevil is really awesome - if not for Blackest Night, I would put his writing on top ( ... )
