Everybody knows that play-off hockey is the best.  Don't believe me?  Just look at the tv listings.  There's a game every night.  Why?  -Not because broadcasters are are nice people.  In a capitalist system, being nice doesn't make you money.  It's because playoff hockey is popular even amongst non-hockey watchers.  Still don't belive me?  Look at Read more... )

I don't get that impression. Are there too many regular session games, maybe, but there are a lot of people that just watch sports for the playoffs, hence the ratings.

I don't watch regular season basketball, but I did watch a couple of playoff games.

Ratings are so high because there waw a ton of drama in this first round.

3 great rivalaries in Vancouver - Calagry, Toronto - Ottawa, Boston - Montreal all went to 7 games.

The Dallas - Colorado and Phili - New Jersey are great rivalaries, also. And then there's the storyline of would the Mighty Red Wings bow out in the first round again?

This year's firstround playoffs were awsome. Basketball's, by comparsion are boring. I mean, you've got 3 teams in the east with sub-.500 records. The onlything interesting is Yao versus Shaq.

That's my longwinded 2 cents
