End of the year survey, whut. Shit, I'm cool.

Being "home" is weird. Mostly because it doesn't feel like home. I dunno.

What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before? Got a job. Went away to college/lived in another state.

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't make any. I probably will continue with that trend.

Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope.

Did anyone close to you die? No.

What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? I didn't lack for anything.

What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Graduation, baby. I was so thrilled. That sad, sad month of April, my last day in Peru, and I guess starting at NYU but that's kind of a blur.

What was your biggest achievement of the year? Doing well in school, I guess. Not having a nervous breakdown at the end of senior year.

What was your biggest failure? Nothing comes to mind.

Did you suffer illness or injury? Nothing major, although I had a bout with bronchitis that I smoked and drank my way through. Healthy.

What was the best thing you bought? My ridiculously warm winter jacket and my trusty-rusty hooker boots.

Where did most of your money go? Clothes, books, alcohol/going out/entertainment.

What did you get really, really, really excited about? Graduating! I was so happy to get out of high school.

What song will always remind you of 2005? Tower of Power - So Very Hard to Go. I am a cheeseball, it is true.

Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or sadder? A different kind of happy. Maybe a little sadder. But I'm content.
b) Thinner or fatter? Fatter, alas.
c) richer or poorer? Richer, yay.

What do you wish you'd done more of? Reading.

What do you wish you'd done less of? Wasting time/being melancholy.

How will you be spending Christmas? I spent it with the fam. We saw Walk the Line.

How many one-night stands? Zero.

What was your favorite TV program? Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, and the OC. I disgust myself.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No.

What was the best book you read? Collapse by Jared Diamond. We Wish to Inform You that Tomorrow We Will Be Killed With Our Families. I can't think of the author's name.

What was your greatest musical discovery? Os Tribalistas. Marisa Monte and other Brazilian singers.

What did you want and get? To leave. And money, haha.

What was your favourite film of this year? Mad Hot Ballroom. I love that movie. And Walk the Line.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 18. There was a surprise fiesta and excessive alcohol consumption.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005? Not.

What kept you sane? Sleep. Really.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? HAHAHA. Don't tell anyone, but I'm pretty in love with Adam Brody from the OC.

Who did you miss? My mom, friends from home, Joe.

Who was the best new person you met? The roomie, Bryan-down-the-hall, Georgia-across-the-hall.

Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
Já sei onde ir
Já sei onde ficar
Agora só me falta sair
-Os Tribalistas - "Já sei namorar"
It verrry roughly translates as:
I already know where to go,
I already know where to be,
Now I just have to leave.

It's prettier in Portuguese though.
