No power, no phones. DSL has just popped back on.

We do have a generator, wood stove, and limited
cellular coverage.

Good grief! Snow on Halloween! I'll keep you in my prayers. How is the fere coping with all of it?

Please send healing energy to the fere's poor aching back. He has to hump firewood for two households (our and his Mom's).

Ask everyone to pray for the poor and the elderly who are really taking it in the neck.

We are fortunate to have the generator and the wood stove. As limited as that may be, it is luxury.

The landline and the DSL weren't holding until yesterday evening. Nice to feel not totally cut off from the outside world. If we don't get mains power by tonight, the word is that we may not have it until next Thursday.

Have a really hot shower for me! :)

Brrrr... I saw on the news that some parts of the Sandy afflicted zone had 23 inches of snow fall. That's an unthinkable amount of snow.
