I was planning on brewing an ordinary bitter today as my first batch of 2008. I got out the equipment, hooked up with propane burner to start heating water, turned on the valves and... nothing. I wanted to purchase a couple things from an online homebrew shop, so I went ahead and did it... and ended up also buying ingredients for a Belgian Saison and Berliner Weiss. It's too easy to get carried away.

I'm making Peanut Butter Snack Bread:

1 cup + 2 tablespoons milk
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 egg
3 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon yeast
3/4 cup chopped peanuts

I'm hoping it turns out as good as it smells. The cinnamon braid I made last week was great. I only got to have small chunk of it before it was gone.
