Transplant Day 18

Everything is going well. I have minimal incision pain, I’m getting around even better than over the weekend, and the arm pain is much improved (no Tylenol #3 in over 24 hours). The only issue is diarrhea, and I’ve narrowed that down to the Magnesium. It occurred about 90 minutes after my dose yesterday, so I skipped the evening dose, and I’m fine ( Read more... )

Thank you for the warning about herbal supplements! You rarely hear about the bad that some of them can do.

My mother-in-law Mimi told me about your sight and your recent transplant, so we've been following your progress ever since! Godspeed and best wishes to you as you recover. Stay positive!

Hi Henry,
Nice to "meet you", even if it is online. Aunt Mimi has said a lot of nice things about you.

I shy away from herbs, because they are unregulated, and thus, you don't know what you are getting. Minerals and vitamins are fine, though. I've heard a lot about herbs causing liver and kidney failure. Several years ago, there was an herb called Chapparal (sp?) that caused liver failure in at least 7 people. They took it to ward off colds...

Things are going very well for me. Positive is the only way to go, as far as I'm concerned.

I have been cross-posting on WordPress, and will eventually use that exclusively, so it's better to check out my blog there (same content for the most part, but LiveJournal is not as robust, and is difficult with several things, hence the switch to WordPress). http://chronicpositivity.wordpress.com/

Say hi to Jennifer for us.

Jeff
