my day today should have made me feel 10 times better than i do. First off, i brought fruity pebbles into school today, which entertained me for the entire day. Then i got to hang up banners for the classes which sliced a good 10 minutes off of astuds. good riddance. Lunch i had fruity pebbles and a meat ball sub. delicious. rest of the day was ordinary except french, i got a fracking 104 on my quiz! who does that? my god! but anyways, i got into the car to get home and i find an acceptence letter from NHS. i was mildly suprised and i dont really care that much. its one of those things that seems nice now, but will certainly bite me in the ass next year. then symphony. then drivers ed which sucks and its only the first day. now do my contest.
now, after all that, the contest of the day. I decided that it should be a Haiku contest. Who can write the best haiku pertaining to the subject of the gunk that snails leave behind when they slither by. Please, enter and when i feel like it i will decide the winner. Please enter.
(Haikus are non-rhyming poems with 3 lines. the first line has 5 sylables, the 2nd has 7 and the third has 5)

Once upon a time, there was a monkey
But he doesn't have anything to do with this story
The story dates long ago, in a jungle near Alberta
Near the Jurassic time period, when cavemen and dinosaurs were friends, not only at heart, but at soul too.
Wonderful people lived in this jungle in Alberta, but none ever survived to come out of it
For there lived an old witch, who also had nothing to do with the story
But the reason why the wonderful people could not escape the jungle is because a mysterious beast also lived there
And when people got close to the jungle's edge, he would spring down, and capture them
And bring them into the trees where he dwelled.
There he dressed them up in coconuts and made them sing songs of Viking lore
Until they drowned in their misery
So the people of the jungle (called the pooknug) dwelled in fear of living
Until a little boy was born
The witch of the jungle (who until recently had nothing to do with the story) descended upon the pooknug after the child was birthed
And said "This boy has a great destiny to make friends with the mysterious creature who prevents you Pooknug from leaving the forest and finally get him to let you guys go)
And then she vanished
In a poof of smog
And sparkles
And chimes
The villagers called the boy Chugchugnakookoo
(Pride of the Pooknug)
And hailed him as their savior
He grew to become a strong teenager
And finally a handsome young man
His mother was the most beautiful girl in the village and his father was the chief
But in a horrible accident they died
(Nobody knows how)
And Chugchug became angry!
He ran away!
The end
