It's monanotlisa's birthday!  I'm drowning in wiritng for work trying to get my gold shoes to earn their keep, but I realized that I had a present hidden away on my computer just for her.

I read that second line as "her brother" and the rest of the story kept wondering where the acknowledgment of incest was! Then I went back and realized what you meant, heh.

The details on this are so vivid - the step, her emotions, the perpetual awkwardness of adolescence.

When my little sister saw the movie "Clueless" the first time, she missed all the set up narration at the beginning, when we found out that Paul Rudd and Alicia Silverstone are not actually brother and sister - and then she spent the rest of the movie gradually having a heart attack as it became more and more clear that they were going to end up together. By the time they kissed at the top of the stairs she was like "What?!, What?! OMG!! ARE YOU KIDDING?!!!"

I am so glad you liked it. It's clear I have a tendency to tell stories about our peeps that range far beyond or before cannon - but then with Cadman, we've got so little, I think it's totally fair to just make things up.
