Good!Job! Army In Excess of Eighty! (Or, suggested title, HAREM O' Jssangel). You do still love me! Even though I am now hunchbacked from that disastrous mattress. I am so happy! (I am - as per usual - 24 hours behind on comments. I love comments. I will respond! But first I have to let them age like a fine whine ( Read more... )

She does seem as though she would be a good intuitive diplomat on the show, doesn't she?

Yeah - the language thing really bugged for a while. Actually I went back and forth between not-caring, and caring a lot. (Suspend my disbelief! No! Put my disbelief down!)

Then I heard somewhere that the Stargates do something to make it possible for people to understand each other. I have no idea if it was Cannon from SG-1, or if I totally jacked another fic-author's idea.

Also - given the way things unfolded after the Atlanteans and the Athosians got together, I do think it is something of a miracle that the Athosians didn't want to kill their new "friends".

It's true that they "rescued" the Athosians, and gave them a place to stay, but none of that would have been necessary if (in the Athosian view at the time) Colonel Sumner and Co. hadn't gone stomping all over the Empty City.

I would have been pretty hacked off if I were them. And pretty hacked off at the condescending attitude displayed off and on by the Atlanteans as well. I think Teyla must have had her hands full, quieting her people down.

Hee hee - me too! I think also the folks form Pegasus are more used to hearing the range of translation that the Ancient Babblefish offers -

So the Atlanteans aren't even aware of the shades of meaning/words that are coming out of their mouths. They just yammer on - oblivious to the weird things they are saying.

Oh my, what a delightful addition. This explains so many of the looks Teyla gives John and Rodney.

The bizarre abundance of Ring-eyes in the City didn't hurt either.

squee! *hugs you*
