These are fantastic. I especially love the Reputation series and am eagerly awaiting the next part.

Also, yay! about the woman writing you back and agreeing to your terms. That is great news. You must be v. v. pleased.

*happy*

Yay! I am glad you liked them. I was a little bit like, "Hmmm. What am I doing here?" because of the way Ronon is 14 years old - but I feel like I did ok keeping his reponses age-appropriate. And it's not like Kell molests him, right?

I'm glad things are working out for you. And I'm really glad you're celebrating with writing more of The Adventures of Ronon and the Ring Eyes

These "ficlets" are wonderful but damn, they leave me hungry for more. /g/

You know - I didn't plan for them to snowball into one long story, it just kind of happened. I'm glad you are hungry for more, because they are TOTALLY coming.

Wow, I really love these. All these fascinating details about Ronon's early life, and then his training: I especially liked Ronon offering Kell his sister's Knot Scraps, and then realizing what he's done; and then with that last ficlet, it's a genuine shock to find out what Ronon's test really is. Very, very well done.

Thank you!

What lovely feedback - it's so cool to hear which specific things worked for you.

and then with that last ficlet, it's a genuine shock to find out what Ronon's test really is

Yeah - I've got like three possibilities for the next part, and it's killing me choosing between them, because that test is SCAREY - and whatever Ronon decides t do it going to affect him for a long time to come.

I'm glad you were able to make a good decision, and get them to agree to your terms. I hope the project is rewarding.

And yay for Ronon's childhood on Sateda! I love the way these stories connect and enrich your theories of the Ring Eyes. I can't wait to read more.

Good terms! jssangel May 1 2006, 20:08:47 UTC
Yeah - it seems to be working out. I had a two hour phone conference with her yestereday, going step by step though my notes about what needs to get done next, and she was really responsive, and her energy never flagged. So I am feeling hopeful now.

I am so glad you liked the stories! I had fun writing them!

This is amazing, but ... it's tearing my up! what happens next?
Does he turn in Galen and Kell? Does he go against all his training? Does he confront Kell? Or... is there an option D? (lol)
And. This all goes to show why Bascha should never start a book series until the last book in the series is published, start a movie that she doesn't have time to finish, or watch an awesome TV show that she doesn't have a chance in hell of catching all the episodes to (she has to either own the entire series on DVD or have them all downloaded to the comp)
I'm wishing you luck w/ your deal, and fanatically checking LJ to find that update
Loves!
- Bascha

No no! Because when I run into a creative decision making crisis, feedback for the in between parts helps me figure out what to do!

I've tried three different versions so far - not quite sure what the answer is yet...

I've got to figure out if this story ends the day before he gets captured by the Wraith - or if that is a seperate part of his life.

On the other hand... if he's on the the horns of his dilemma... what to do, what to do. Because if he gets taken before it's figured out, then that explains why he's so confused, now. Or that may be angsty... but it seems like he has NO experience, but... *wavers back and forth for QUITE awhile and ends up leaving while muttering that this is why I only read fanfic and don't try to write it*
