A few pies

I went to three holiday parties this year. As such I baked a lot of pies. The enclosed picture is after I already distributed thee of them to friends.

"That which sustains me destroys me": The motto of the diabetic chef, a tattoo of which will be my 50th birthday present to myself. That motto goes double for *pastry* chefs with such nuisances in their lives!

I used a cut cookie/ sugar cookie recipe for the gluten free apple pie crust. It worked well!

Was accused of serving gluten...

Had to try that one. Generally content myself with a forkful of crumbs to quality control... ;)
