Summary: Jin becomes intrigued when he reads an article in Duet and decides to investigate (his unsubstantiated thoughts).
Warnings: sexual situations
Notes: I don’t really know how good this is, but I had fun writing it so I hope that you enjoy it too. ^_^
It all began with a magazine: the March 2008 issue of Duet to be exact, which happened to feature an article with Matsumoto Jun and Nishikido Ryo. Jin found this article to be particularly interesting, not just because of Jun's minor mention of his name, but also due to the banter between Jun and Ryo. It wasn't that Jin hadn't known about Jun and Ryo's friendship, but to read about how Ryo is the only junior (in relation to Jun) whom Jun keeps in touch with and meets up with and about how the pair would sometimes go out and get drunk together brought weird thoughts to Jin's head. He didn't think he was jealous, but for some reason the article had left him with a feeling of unease and odd thoughts. Thus, Jin decided to take in upon himself to investigate the truth behind Jun and Ryo's relationship to ease his mind.
Plan A: Talk to Ryo
For his first plan of attack, Jin decided to approach Ryo. He figured that he would get some form of verbal abuse from his snarky friend, but that it would be easier to take than a verbal bashing from Jun, which he knew Jun would be quite willing to give. So, he stalked around the Jimusho waiting patiently for a time when he was could get Ryo alone. When an opportunity presented itself, he pounced on it.
“Hey Ryo.”
“What do you want, Akanishi?”
“Can’t I just want to say ‘hi’ to one of my friends?” Jin questioned and Ryo just rolled his eyes in response. “Anyway, I actually came to say that I read the article with you and Matsumoto in Duet.”
“And?”
“I never knew you and Matsumoto were so close.”
Ryo scoffed. “And?”
“And…I didn’t know you two went out drinking together or that you went back to your apartment together drunk or that you don’t like other people seeing you when you are with him…”
“You really are stupid, aren’t you? What’s the big deal? Don’t you go out with drinking Yamapi?”
“Yeah but…”
“Then what’s the difference?”
“Well, there isn’t really one but…”
“Then there is nothing else to discuss, right Bakanishi?” With that, Ryo exited the room, leaving a pouting Jin behind.

Plan B: Talk to Matsumoto (and cut straight to the point)
After failing miserably with Ryo, Jin decided his best course of action was to approach Jun. Sure, Jun would probably tease incessantly, but it was better than having a pissed off Ryo after him. So he resumed his previous strategy of stalking around the Jimusho, this time waiting for an instant when Jun was away from Arashi. It took more time than with Ryo, and for a while Jin was seriously considering bribing Chinen to go in there and lure Ohno (and by default Nino) out. Luckily, he didn’t need to resort to that method as he found himself alone with Matsumoto.
“Oi Matsumoto.”
“What’s this? You think just because your band is now successful you don’t have to refer to me as senpai?”
“Forgive me. Oi, Mastumoto-senpai.”
“Better. Now what do you want?”
“Are you sleeping with Ryo?”
Matsumoto looked both surprised and confused. “Excuse me?”
Jin refused to back down. “Are you sleeping with Ryo?”
“And if I was?” Matsumoto questioned slyly, playing along as he backed Jin against the nearest wall while grabbing the younger male’s wrists and pinning them. He pressed his body against Jin’s and whispered in his ear, “Would you be jealous?”
Jun’s breath was hot against Jin’s ear and his thigh was between Jin’s legs, pressing lightly against Jin’s hardening arousal.
“Matsumoto…” Jin moaned, his brain suddenly caught up in a cloud of lust.
“Tsk tsk,” Jun chided teasingly, “it’s Matsumoto-senpai.”
“Ah! Senpai!” Jin cried, as Jun’s thigh pressed harder against him. This wasn’t why Jin came here or what he was expecting, but he certainly wasn’t going to complain.
However, a few seconds later a voice called out from the hallway.
“Jun-kun, are you ready?” the voice, which Jin recognized as Aiba’s, called out.
“Yeah, I’ll be right there,” Jun called back.
He lowered his mouth down to Jin’s ear and whispered, “see you around Akanishi” before releasing Jin’s wrists. Jin could only stand there on shaky legs, stunned, as Jun strutted out the door without so much glancing back.

Plan C: Talk to Ryo (Take two)
When Jin set his mind to do something he never gave up. Therefore, despite his past failures, Jin was determined to keep trying. He decided to approach Ryo again, mostly because his last encounter with Jun had been more confusing than enlightening and without more information, he didn’t want a repeat performance.
He had expected another round of the “wait patiently for his target to be alone” game, so he was surprised to find Ryo already alone, reading a magazine. Maybe, he thought, his luck was finally turning around.
“Ryo.”
Ryo didn’t even look up. “I was wondering when you would show up.”
“Eh?”
“Jun-kun told me about your encounter.”
“Then what’s the answer?”
“Hmm?”
“Are you two sleeping together?”
Ryo snorted. “You’re still on that?”
Ryo put the magazine down and started walking towards Jin. Jin felt as though he was experiencing déjà vu as Ryo stalked over to him, pinning him against the wall in almost the exact same why Jun had yesterday.
“And if I was?” Ryo whispered into Jin’s ear, mimicking Jun’s words while at the same time trailing his hand down Jin’s chest. “Would you be jealous?”
Jin wanted to make a snide comment to Ryo about having heard those lines before (and maybe stick in a jab at Ryo’s height), but all intelligent thought was suspended when Ryo’s hand slipped inside his pants and boxers to wrap around his length. All he could manage was to quietly moan Ryo’s name as Ryo’s hand began to move.
“The real question is,” Ryo began, continuing to stroke Jin, “are you jealous of him…or me?”
Ideally, Jin would’ve liked to say that he wasn’t jealous of either of them and that he was merely curious, but Ryo’s movements were preventing him from formulating any word other than “Ryo”. It was a weird situation, having one of his best friends giving him a hand job in an empty room at the Jimusho, but right now all Jin could think of was how good Ryo was making him feel.
“What are you waiting for?” Ryo asked teasingly, and for some reason those words combined with Ryo’s warm breath against his ear and Ryo’s hand sent Jin over the edge and spilling over Ryo’s hand.
Ryo smirked as he removed his hand from Jin’s pants. “You sure know how to make a mess.” He cleaned off his hand with a nearby tissue and headed towards the trash basket and the door.
“See you around Akanishi,” Ryo said nonchalantly, another mimicking of Jun’s words, as waved goodbye and left a pleasure-dazed and confused Jin behind.

~The Next Day~
When Ryo and Jin arrived at the Jimusho for work the next day, they were quickly called into Kitagawa’s office. Apparently, an unnamed junior happened to witness the exchange between the two, and hadn’t had better sense than to run around the Jimusho telling anyone who would listen about how “Nishikido-senpai had been giving Akanishi-senpai a hand job”. Luckily, other senpais had been able to shut the junior up before the rumor leaked outside the Jimusho, and the junior’s story had been twisted into a misperception. Jin and Ryo, however, were still verbally reprimanded for their carelessness (regardless of whether the story was true or not) and warned that if another similar incident occurred, they would face suspension or possible firing.
“You two were lucky,” Jun told them later in the day when he found them together.
“I don’t see what the big deal is,” Jin huffed, annoyed at first been reprimanded and then having Ryo blame him for it.
“Of course you don’t since you are an idiot,” Ryo stated, voice laced with irritation.
“The big deal, Akanishi,” Jun explained as if talking to a toddler, “is if that rumor had gotten out, both of your careers would’ve been over.”
“I know, I know,” Jin interrupted. “It was explained to us earlier. Girls love it when we do fanservice and love the fantasy of us being in love with each other. On the other hand, girls still fantasize about dating us and would turn against us if they ever found out we actually were being with other guys.”
“Exactly,” Jun confirmed, “which is why you need to be careful. It’s one thing for girls to think about you getting a hand job from Ryo, and another thing to learn that it actually happened. You’re both idols, who were trained to be desirable to girls. You can’t be gay.”
“It’s all Akanishi’s fault anyway.”
“How is it my fault? As I recall, you were the one who pinned me against the wall and gave me a hand job.”
“Well, if you hadn’t started this whole ‘Ryo, are you sleeping with Jun-kun?’ thing this never would’ve happened.”
“Nishikido does have a point there, Akanishi.”
“Well maybe you guys should’ve just given me a straight answer in the first place.”
Jun smirked at Jin’s comment. “Are you still curious?” he asked, moving slightly towards Jin and smirking wider as Jin instinctively backed up towards the wall.
“Yes,” Jin replied, though he wasn’t sure if the yes was actually to the question he was asked or to the question he thought he saw in Jun’s eyes: ‘do you want us?’
“Then maybe you should come out drinking with us sometime and find out,” Jun stated, before he and Ryo burst into a fit of laughter and Jin’s hopes of finding out the truth (and getting sex) flew out the window.
