Story of Valentines Day

St Valentine was a guy who secretly married couples when marriage was illegal. Valentines day was the day St. Valentine was apprehended and dragged before the Prefect of Rome, who condemned him to be beaten to death with clubs and to have his head cut off. This man suffered a brutally painful and violent death on February 14th around the year 270.
