ok so they announce lay-offs on thursday.  1200 people - 600 directs.  lay-offs of directs wouldn't be until may, i guess this is our 60 day notice.  i wonder what will happen to my program.  i mean, we still have a plane to finish designing and get built.  they're also doing a 5 week furlough for production.  i'm a little jealous i'm not in ( Read more... )

so i have a pretty great boyfriend.  he came to visit this weekend.  he showed up friday afternoon after i got off work.  we hung around the house for a while, played with bella, took a nap.  then we headed downtown for one of my favorite treats.  we had vinnie's pizza to go and took it down to the river to eat while drinking wet willie's.  yum.  ( Read more... )

ok so i just tried to cook some carrots in the microwave.  total fail.  i put carrots and some water in a tuberware and set the lid on top so things don't go splatter everywhere.  well somehow the lid got suctioned onto the bowl and then the bowl started to warp and tried to implode on itself.  but my carrots are cooked and nothing did actually ( Read more... )
