The Flattest Zoo In Town

Part one of a theoretical HUGE art-dump (i.e: all the stuff I've been slaving night and day over...it's disappointingly non-epic >.>):

WITNESS THE PAPER ANIMALS OF DOOM!

Yes, those banners in the back are, indeed, Leonidas and the Master Chief. XD

Hopefully this works...if not, the account name is ACADStudentWork and the passie is ACAD2007

Wicked scorpion! They're all really good... I like the frog a lot, too. Do they all have a skeleton like the one shown in the frog body in those backlit photos?

How did you go about making yours, exactly? (Yes, I'm interested in these things.)

No, only Erin's has that skeleton...she went all-out, and figured out the anatomical structure of the thing so that she could make a transparent frog. >.>

Mine was a long, arduous process of trying to figure out how to give a flat insect dimension enough and texture enough to please Alison (my instructor), as well as to create a form that would be self-supporting...essentially, everything is made if interlocking plates or segments, and LOTS AND LOTS of burn-ey hot glue. -_-;

Half the process was also cutting a likely-looking form out, folding into three dimensions, and discovering that it did not, in fact, do what I wanted it to, or look the way I wanted it to look. Ugh.

Now, if I had only documented this pain and suffering, I would've scored awesome. XD
