Sales. Hmmm. A lot more money for the effort, but now you have to deal with quotas, and people who are violently not interested in you, and whip-cracking sales managers and all that.
But at least it's something that's easy to sell. I once had to sell specialized CAD systems for architectural stone facades. You can't get a more niche market than that, nor can you get a nastier group of people to call on the phone.
yeah, that sounds painful. Thankfully I won't be doing outbound calling either. They call me, asking for service, I sell it to them and make commission! As far as sales jobs go, it's pretty good, I think. Still... quotas..... ((shudder))
