The countdown has started...

The shamrocks and the party hats have hit the TV commercials and the shelves at WalMart.

This morning I looked up this YouTube and cried like a baby because Jo never got to see this one. She would have cried like a baby at it too.

Music is a thread that runs in my family, and always has. My son is a singer, a dream of mine come true. He hasn't been discovered as yet, except by his family and friends. True, he's been performing for most of his life in off-broadway stuff, in gigs in the city and stuff. And always we us, his devoted fans. The day my Dad died, as he and his sisters and I got together, we gravatated to the piano to sing our hearts out, and again the day we buried him, we did the same. It's what we do. We sing ( ... )

you "get on with it", the process of trying to reinvent your life without your child in it, of trying to live with the life sucking hole of pain where your heart used to beat, but you never, ever, ever get over it.
