I agree. But, the reason is because they want to use any excuse they can to make money. And, with you being the example, it works!

Yep, it's all a sinister plot to sell more dvds to people who go "oooooh, collectors edition" when it says it on the box. Even though it's the only version released so far and there will be a bigger one coming out soon. It's dumb, but they're free to put whatever they want on it. They could put down SUPER FANTASIC COLLECTORS MEGA-CIRCLE-JERK DANCE-OFF EDITION on it and it'd still be ok :(
