Chapter 2
'A coincidence?! Uh-uh... I don't buy it!' I said to myself while walking along the streets of Chinatown. I'm on my way to the pet shop again to talk to Ueda Tatsuya. The strangest person I've met in my 25 years of existence on earth. 'That shopkeeper is hiding something... I just know it!'
I am holding two small boxes, one on both hands.
On my left is a small white box. 'Remember, regular tactics don't work with people in Chinatown. If they push, you pull.' was Nakamaru's advise.
On my right is a box with a label Momichi's Delicacies. I smirked, remembering what the old man near the pet shop told me... 'Tat-chan looooovvvveeeesssss sweets, don't you know?'

A/N2: From here on till the end of this chapter, it's the shopkeeper's POV.
"As I've told you before, I don't have any other information about Akanishi-san." I told the short-tempered detective as I opened the door of the shop. My eyebrows arched at a goofily smiling detective. 'Kawaii!!' I couldn't stop myself admiring the sight in front of me. I averted my eyes from him.
"No, actually, today I just came by to deliver the body you requested." He smiled sheepishly at me while showing a small white box.
"Well, that was very kind of you. Arigatou!" I suspiciously said but bowed none the less, not leaving my gaze on the floor. I don't trust myself looking at him again. He looks so cute in my eyes. "Is that all? Well then, have a nice day and goodbye..." I started closing the door but he quickly stepped inside the shop not giving me any chance to shoo him away. I walked along the hallway, he followed me.
"Oh! I almost forgot, I brought you something else, too!" he suddenly exclaimed that made me turn to him. "It's not much but... Here, this is for you." he handed me another box, I sniffed.
"OH MY GOD! THAT AROMA!" I screamed, now sniffing the box that he's still holding. I felt like a K9 dog which suddenly discovered a bomb. Well, I don't care, I'm totally oblivious of everything now. All that matters to me now is what's inside the box. It doesn't matter if he's so close to me, and that he's blushing madly. 'CAKE! Yatta!' "This is incredible!! To get these you have to line up before the store opens because they only sell 30 pieces a day!"
He backed off a bit. "Erm, can I have some water?" he asked out of the blue.
I nodded and motioned him to follow me. I offered him tea, he gladly accepted the cup of tea. We were seated at the table now.
"You're a lot nicer than I gave you credit for, Detective." I told him while putting cubes of sugar on my tea. He looked at my cup wide-eyed. "Because of this..." I'm almost drooling while looking at the chocolate cake on the table. "...I will tell you anything!"
He gulped and continued sipping his tea.
I silently ate the cake, small tears flowing from my eyes. You see, I can never wake up early enough to get those special chocolate cakes. I'm so grateful at him.
"What the----?! What's with you, man?! Get over it, will you?! It's just a cake!" he yelled at me.
I snapped away from my thoughts.
"If you're really looking for my thoughts on the case..." my tone became serious "I believe Akanishi-san was killed by a ghost."
"A GHOST?!" he grabbed my shoulders and shook me violently. "That's brilliant! If we close every case that doesn't have an obvious culprit and blame a ghost, I could retire tomorrow!"
"Why are you getting so upset?" I asked. I glared at him. "Sit down." I said calmly.
He obediently sat down, dumbfounded. Maybe he thought I'm not capable of glaring because I'm always smiling.
"No, what I mean is... maybe Akanishi-san had become a ghost." I explained.
"Huh?" now he looks confused.
"Six years ago, a year after KAT-TUN debuted, Akanishi-san was offered the perfect role for him. That's why he went solo and flew to the US to follow his dreams and grab the once in a lifetime opportunity." I put my elbows on top of the table, and clasped my hands.
"The part of the Japanese Prince? The one who died for the entire planet?" he asked.
I nodded, my hands on my chin.
"He was given a chance to audition for a Hollywood film. And eventually got the part." I explained. "His soft brown hair... and brown eyes that had so much depth in them... His pretty face and the character's noble sacrifice made him a very big star all over the globe."
'Does he have a crush on Akanishi Jin or something? Is he a fan?' Nishikido asked himself, his brows furrowed.
"But after that, Akanishi-san was not given any better roles... or should I say..." I continued. "He hit a glass ceiling, one that his looks and charm could not overcome."
"Ha! So you're saying he was just a pretty boy and a bad actor..." he said sarcastically. "A fading star"
"No." I shook my head. "Akanishi-san was haunted... by the ghost of the prince. That role was his greatest victory..."
"And his most devastating defeat." he said, I was glad he finally got my point.
I started telling him what happened two months ago.

-Flashback-
"Hey, Ueda-san." a very handsome gentleman greeted me when I opened the door of the shop.
"Welcome, your highness." I bowed at him.
"Ah, c'mon! I'm no prince." he smiled at me.
"I'm sorry. You just have that air about you." I apologized. "You came to pick up the usual food?"
"Actually, I came for another pet. If possible, something different." he answered, his back facing me.
"Anou, excuse me, I know it's not my business, but..." I said hesitantly. "Didn't you promise you're wife that you'd hold off on getting any more pets?"
"Actually... It just so happens... that she left me" he turned to me, smiling. "So there you go. Now my pets have free rein of the house."
"Your highness..." I looked at him in awe. "Given your new situation... I think I have the perfect addition to your household."
I motioned him to follow me. "This way please."
We went to the backdoor and turned left. We continued walking along the dark hallway. I stopped in front of a huge door. I slowly opened the door. "Please come in."
He went inside, I soon followed him.
Minutes later....
"So, what do you think?" I asked and looked at his face....
...that was full of shock.
