So apparently Beth's house burned down last night. The only details I have so far are that everyone is alright and that they aren't allowed back in yet. More details as I get them.

just a little clarification for everyone -

Beth is buyign a new house close to campus. They were redoing the floors and some rags that were left in the corner spontaenously combusted (probably due to the chemicals being used) which caught the inside of the new home on fire. No one had moved in yet and minimal things had been moved in since they are still doing the inside. There were some valuables (artwork, etc) in one of the back bedrooms but at far as we know the back bedrooms were not in the fire so those items are not damaged. They are not allowed back in just yet.

They will be able to fix the inside back up and it should all be covered by insurance and the company who was redoing the floors.

Hope that puts some people's mind at ease!

Thanks for the clarification! It certainly makes me feel better. The only reason I heard about it is because someone sent me a facebook message.

thats what i figured and as soon as i read your post i called my dad who filled me in - otherwise i wouldnt have known a thing. :)
