Elric Again

I bought the rest of the Del Rey collection for myself yesterday and started reading the first book a few days ago. It is nice to be reading Elric again, warts and all.

I'm really enjoying the way they start in these wonderful swords & sorcery in media res bits that hint at failed adventures we just missed.

I am surprised at how often Elric fails. I hadn't remembered that but I guess that is why a 13 year old boy who was all ears, sternum and elbows like his doomed ass in the first place.
