I persuaded my husband to watch it with me this afternoon while our 2 children were playing with the next door neighbor's son. I was so happy he liked it. We both laughed so much. It helped that we have a family friend who is a Brad Stand but actually believes he is an Albert Markovski!
It was my second time watching it and I enjoyed it even more this time. There were some things I missed the first time; isn't that always the way? My only regret is that I bought it right when it came out, at Costco -- and they only had one version. I didn't know at the time that there was a 2-disc version with extras, otherwise I would certainly have held out for it. :(
Wasn't everyone in the cast just great? I saw no weak performances, found everyone really funny. Loved Dustin Hoffman with the blanket! And if you have read my intro at Jude's Place you could probably tell from my music choices that I am not a teenager -- LOL -- part of me wishes I could go back, but not without the knowledge I've gained, so I guess that doesn't make much sense. I'm glad you liked Huckabees! We laughed like crazy when we saw it. I have the DVD finally, and couldn't get the one with the extras, so just got the same one as you. Will probably buy the 2 disc sometime anyway, but I couldn't wait anymore! I agree that everyone was good. And, I guess you know by now, that I am no teenage either! ;D I could be your big sister! :D Going back, with knowledge, reminds me of Peggy Sue Got Married, did you ever see that? And that motorcycle poet guy (Kevin J. O'Connor) was so good looking and he ends up playing the skeevy arab in the Mummy and then we saw him in Van Helsing as Igor! I also love Lily Tomlin, I used to love to see her do Edith Ann, and I adore Dustin Hoffman. Anyway, sorry to take so long to answer this!
