Oh yes, Bliss, you absolutely must see Fever Pitch if you are a Boston Red Sox fan! Have you seen the original with Colin Firth? I loved it, of course. I want to see the new one because I like Jimmy Fallon and I'm a Nick Hornby fan.
Colin Firth = hubba hubba and he is a nice, sweet man also. Winning ticket!
His Fever Pitch was based on his character's obsession with Arsenal, so it was very English. My husband even liked the first Fever Pitch, even though he had to tease me throughout about Colin Firth being my boyfriend. It gives him great pleasure now to say that Colin has been displaced by Jude Law as he is able to tease me for being fickle. Little does he know that I love them BOTH! Does this make me a floozy?
I read up on the original and I definitely want to see it! I loved Colin in that A&E special Pride & Prejudice from 10 years ago! I saw it last year for the first time, some friends had taped it. I started to watch, and couldn't stop, watched the whole six hours in row! Loved the new Fever Pitch! So cool to see Boston and Fenway Park and all. And I love Jimmy and Drew too, winning combo! Yesterday the Red Sox got their World Series rings at Fenway, and also the banner was put up! Sweet- the Yankess were there to see it! MWUAHHAHAHAHA!!!
