Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:
Apollo has an ability to perceive! How this works is, he's able to perceive and feel small, nervousness induced habits throughout a witness's testimony, and deduce from there where the lies are hiding ( sure, there are people out there that can already read people- that's what Apollo can do; it's a bit more enhanced though). He can go about sensing a nervous habit coming from the witness, and must then focus on a specific part of the testimony that makes everything look suspicious. When he does, he's able to watch very closely ( zoom in on the certain spot ) and in slow motion while the witness says a desired statement. When he's found the nervous tick, he can perceive it, and yells "GOTCHA!" ( trucy also mentions his eyes kind of bug out when he's focusing in ). From there, he needs to dig deeper and figure out its meaning with the help of evidence and the nature of the case. To also aid him with this ability is a nifty bracelet that was passed down to him when he was younger, that is a very important tool throughout the game. Let's back up a bit and start out with what the bracelet does. The bracelet is made of a special alloy, that tightens or expands in response to body heat. Normally, it would fit perfectly around the wearers wrist. When a witness, during a testimony, tenses up and becomes nervous- so does the wearer ( ever so slightly ), in which they would normally not notice. In response to the slight tense, the bracelet tightens, and it's pretty noticeable for Apollo, seeing as it's normally perfectly fitted, and gives him the cue to zoom in and catch the twitch.
Other than this, and his "Chords of Steel" ( which isn't really that important at all- it just deals with yelling. loudly.) , Apollo has no supernatural abilities.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them?
Remember those Chords of Steel I mentioned up there? Like it says, while Apollo takes pride in it, wakes up early in the morning to
practice yelling and then again before he goes to bed- it's really nothing. It just gives him nothing but a sometimes raspy voice when he objects in the courtroom, when he's really just looking to be louder. Well, no longer will that be the case if he ends up stuck in Siren's Pull, for he will be gifted with the dormant ability of sound manipulation- or, more known as a sonic voice. Since he already practices yelling out his "OBJECTION!"s and "HOLD IT!"s very frequently, the ability won't go unnoticed when it first starts to surface. They'll still surface little by little of course- and depending on the sound waves and their frequencies/volume, they can serve to do a number of things, such as creating vibrations large enough to move objects ( or even . . . blast people back! ), cracking or completely shattering solid objects, or incapacitating someone. He'll probably have to do a bit of research on physics to learn more about it before really trying it out again. While it will be difficult to learn how to manipulate at first ( I can imagine the power of a single yell being all over the place if he doesn't know how to control the waves ), he'll still need to be very careful. Sound is something that can actually render someone from being irritated, to completely unconscious, to having temporary or permanent hearing damage/loss, or even dead if the the right frequencies are used and concentrated in the right areas. Extremely high powered sound waves can easily break a person's eardrums, causing severe pain and disorientation along with other complications, which leads right to incapacitation. The ones that are less powerful can cause discomfort, or even nausea. His voice would activate much easier if he's in a panic, which is why he would have to be careful- he could easily hurt someone without meaning to. So, with much needed practice to keep this ability in line, he really will have Chords of Steel.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History:
here!Point in Canon: Post case 3, before the trial in case 4.
Character Personality:
Apollo is someone who is very dedicated to his job- a defense attorney in the court of law. The law is something he is passionate about, very passionate, and truth is something he wholeheartedly strives to find in every case and every situation, regardless of the circumstances ( or, tries to, to the best of his ability ). While he does care for his clients, and getting the not guilty verdict they deserve ( he strangely always get the innocent ones anyway . . . ) - he cares deeply for the truth, and even more for the legal system as it is as a whole. You see, Justice likes following the rules. Rules are there for a reason, and they're meant to be followed- it's still wrong, even if you break them to get something good out of it. ( When he found out about Wright giving him faked evidence for example, Apollo punches him out of anger. Not only did he end up using forged evidence unknowingly during his first trial, but it was because of the man who he looked up to that gave it to him. ) While rules are great . . . he knows when there's something wrong with them, As long as justice is served, both to the guilty and the innocent, as long as the truth is found, Apollo's goal is sound. This surfaces up more by the end of case 4, where Apollo swears that he'll learn what the law really is himself, and will fight to change it if necessary.
With all that passion and intensity in ( and sometimes out of ) the court room comes how he can be . . . pretty overenthusiastic sometimes, to the point of being more or less of a dork. ( we really get to see how dorky he kind of is during his first trial, and his thoughts on his "Chords of Steel" ). We also get to see how nervous he is when he meets face to face with Phoenix Wright and learns that he's his defendant, who wanted a novice like him to defend no less; since Apollo looks up to him as the legend he was before the incident. It also doesn't take much to fluster this guy up, and when he's nervous or has made a noticed, obvious mistake, he has a very apparent stutter. He's also shown to get easily stressed, such as in case 2, when Trucy faked being a hostage during a trial with the help of her puppet, Mr. Hat, in order to temporarily give Apollo more time and force a recess. Afterward, Apollo began crying when he found Trucy okay in the defendant's lobby, worried that she could've gotten hurt, and so on. When he's extra nervous or extra anxious ( especially as we see when he takes on his first case ) he tends to insist that he's "f-fine!!!" and dandy- when gosh Apollo, you're sweating bullets! And you're eyes are bugging out! Are you sure? He'll still insist, when obviously, he might look like he's going to have a mini heart attack. Though, it never takes too long for him to regain his composure.
He can also be pretty vain, as he frequently makes puns out of his last name, "Justice", as well as exercising his yelling ( to strengthen his c h o r d s o f s t e e l ! ! ! ) hours at a time so he can sound awesome in court ( or more realistically, raspy. his voice can crack a lot because of it- but he's not going through puberty i swear ). His Chords of Steel is something he actually has great pride in, which is uh . . . kind of. Yeah. He's also looked into a very shiny surface in case two and says to himself "Hot dang, my hair looks good." He gets shot down a lot, yes- and as much as he tries and wants to look cool for once, he doesn't succeed the majority of those times. It's usually stolen away or simply ignored- or he's just shot down before it can happen. That doesn't mean his confidence is down for the count, though! Remember, Apollo is headstrong. Give it only a few moments for him to relax and collect himself, and he gets right back up rather quickly, confidence fully restored.
Usually, Apollo stays rather polite and nice to people- at least, he tries as much as he can. Sometimes it's hard, depending on the person. He can be a bit mean sometimes too ( regarding his inner thoughts . . . or when he's just too irritated to keep it in his head ) as well as having a bit of a sarcastic side ready. He has quite a few snarky, critical comments about people and situations sometimes . . . though, they're usually kept to himself by thoughts to avoid unwanted, accidental offense, that are seen in parenthesis in-game- unless he has opened up to a character and trusts them well enough to be critical upfront, such as Trucy and Phoenix Wright. Though, he won't keep quiet if he's being provoked, either.
While Justice is a little inexperienced ( being a young, and new defense attorney ), he can make mistakes. A lot of them- on top of that, he can be the dork mentioned earlier, but that doesn't make him on idiot; because he's very much the opposite. Apollo has wits, and he's a very intelligent, capable young man. He tends to think things through as logically and reasonably as possible; He calculates first, thinking before jumping headfirst into the works, unlike our previous Ace Attorney progtag. While he's very good at noticing small details ( including what he can do with the perceiving ability ), sometimes he might need a little push to guide him into the right direction, before he can take off on his own again. Justice doesn't really like to do too many unnecessary things- but sometimes, he'll toss his towel and go for it anyway if there isn't a big reason why he shouldn't.
Coming to a close, this is Apollo Justice, AND HE'S FINE!!!! He's afraid of heights, dislikes loud noises, knows a great deal about astronomy, and can be a pretty good hula hooper. He has a refined respect towards the law and strives for the truth. He's good-natured, means well, and won't think twice about putting his heart into what he believes in completely.
