A great alternative to the episode, and one that gives a lot of hope--I really liked Sam's mindset in this, felt true to character!

Why, thank you! I'm stoked that Sam's POV came across as such, I sometimes get a feeling that he doesn't really like me poking in his head *pulls an innocent face, has no idea why*

Oh, boys.
*sniffle*

I love Sam's layers of emotions - anger, frustration, guilt, fear.... But down at the very bottom, the bedrock is still solid.

Good stuff. :)

Oh, boys.

Yeah, that about sums it up *giggles*

That solid bedrock you mention, it's actually what lay foundations for this story. I love how messed-up they seem to be right now, but I think that, regardless of what we've lately seen, what's really important and what constitutes them as human beings - their relationship included - cannot really be altered in any significant way.

Thank you so much for reading. I'm so happy you liked it :)

Very nice. I wish they'd say some of this on the show.
