Hi Judy, just wanted to tell you I visited your journal some weeks ago because I wanted to give you this message earlier, but I'm such a failure when it comes to computers, livejournal and contacting somebody (I'd really like to know how this PM thing works, but no chance I'm afraid, lol), so when you had no entry to reply to I didn't know how to reach you, don't laugh at me, please.
Because I wanted to tell you that I read your name very often when the betas are mentioned and you beta a lot of stories I really like. So I just wanted to thank you for doing that, I guess we'd have very less stories at bbs without you. And also thank you for posting reconciliation on bbs I'm going to read it during the next days I guess. Hope you don't think it's weird that I come to your journal like that, but I just felt like saying thank you. BTW: Your "Blame it on the Beta" is hilarious, giggled and laughed all time during reading.
Do you plan to do some fiction on your own? Or will you just leave it being a Beta?
Thanks for commenting. I really enjoy being a beta, but you are giving me too much credit. I can think of only three stories that might not have seen the light of day or might have been abandoned quickly without my involvement. All the others would be posted, just with a few more errors. But I thank you anyway. I get a lot more than I give from being a beta-reader, and additional thank-you's from readers are just one more unexpected benefit.
I'm glad you like 'Blame It'. It started as a joke, something to distract me from fretting when a story that I like was stalled because the beta for that story was overwhelmed with real life. I plan to write more 'Blame It' reasons, but that's all. I write, but I don't write fiction and I don't write slash, so my writing would not appeal to this audience. I'll stick with being a beta here.
