Well so much for the bright yellow bumble bee dress. I didn't have nearly as much of the fabric as I thought I did so there will be no doublet dress out of the fabric. How much of the bumblebee yellow do you have left?

Would it be enough to eke out if you made it wider/longer with wide guards at the hem and front edges of the skirt.. and possibly some bandes of the guard-fabric inserted to add extra skirt length too?

I've made entire gowns form surpriziongly little yardage by such tricks as these.

sadly I would have enough if I was making a straight skirt with no *poof* at all, I have less than two yards (more like 1 yard and maybe 1/4 at most). I'm tiny, only 34 inches from waist to hem with a hoop on but there just isn't enough for any pleating at all.

But you did get me thinking now, I wonder how big I would have to make guards for it to have enough to pleat..*ponder*

Thank you for the idea
