Elder Scrolls IV: Am I Screwed?

To make a long story short, in Elder Scrolls IV, I contracted vampirism. No worries, there's a quest to get a witch to make a potion. Unfortunately, I find that I indavertently stole something from her while in her hut (and then saved on top of it). It's not that I don't know what to do (I have the guidebook anyway), but I think I've done something that I can't undo (the inadvertent theft part).

Shel, if you don't want to keep playing as a vampire, I think you are screwed. However, I don't think it's the stealing from her that's the problem, but that there's a known bug with giving her the items out of order (i.e., don't give her the ashes first) that can cause what you've described; so, if you had a save even from just before you'd given her anything, but not having to go all the way back to before you stole from her, you might be able to get the cure. It sounds like you don't, though.

Huh...I still ahve the save from right before I killed the vampire, so maybe I'll do that run again and see what happens.
