I know it's not how you'd want to have a character "go dark", but I can sympathize with the feeling of losing them. I've certainly kicked aside some in the effort to move on to other characters or just let life get in the way. That being said there are some critters I just can't let go of and at some point hope to bring back. I wouldn't say he's gone or lost as much as maybe it's just time to rest the character and reload.

I would imagine with recent events in your health, it would be easier for you to have him around than not though.

I'm really surprised they have no sign of him though. It reminds me of when work sent me to San Diego in the middle of some convention and I had to scramble to get a room to stay in. I came back from work and they had cleared out my room and taken my stuff to put someone else in the room. They gave me the run around about my stuff and I had to wait until the next shift manager to show up before the could find and or get my stuff for me. I was livid to say the least. Maybe he just got caught up in staff

Man, I miss seeing you at conventions. You are one of the fursuiter I know of who fursuits just to entertain others with your antics. I wish the fandom had more like you. :)

I am thinking of filing a police report in Knoxville so if he shows up there least I can say, hey that is mine. We are going to put out some reward posters near the hotel just in case that works also.

I think fursuiting would be good for me as it does keep me active.

As far as my health? Hey is that a challenge? I will take you down in fursuit twister!!! :)

Perform at cons? Pfffft all we do is model how pretty we are these days! Damn kids!

We'll see in a year or so though... there might be plans for a certain wuff to come back... but that'll be more Val's doing than mine. ;)

OUCH! I'm so sorry to hear that - Calamity has been your anchor character, well defined and memorable. I don't blame you a bit for being bummed about this. Yes, file a police report. Any chance of getting him rebuilt? Who did the construction?

Actually he is really Latin Vixen (Mixed Candy) first official commission. Not like I can afford to have him remade.

I would think he would turn up at some point as he pretty cool looking compared to Halloween costumes you can buy. So I think he will show up some day.

All I can say is to keep an eye on eBay for someone trying to unload it. I would definitely let the police know so that the hotel takes this seriously. I'm really sad to hear about this. You really brought that character to life.

Sorry if already suggested, but can you follow up more vigorously with the hotel? They initially said they had it, and they wouldn't have been mistaken about such a statement. WHO saw it at the hotel, or at least SAID he had it? Etc. :(

One of the problems I have here is I am hearing all of this second hand. This is information passed on to me from the person who left it there. I am just going by what they said and I don't have enough information. I really want to go by the hotel and talk to them directly. But they are like 7 hours away.

It is really frustrating as I am not really sure what to believe at this point.

Echoing what everyone else has said (and what I said at the party)...keep on the hotel. Someone there said they had it; its probably still in their lost n found. Even if you have to drive there to look for yourself, its worth it.
