Heck, I finally was able to just try on the head from a friend's fursuit a few days back. I've been curious about fursuiting for ages. While I'm not claustrophobic, I figured the first step was to make sure that I wouldn't freak out just from wearing a head. I didn't, thank goodness and it was an educational experience. Next step is to see whether I can handle the heat of a suit.

In a bit of an odd coincidence, I was in the Tencennial parade, too. My high school band was marching in the Orange Bowl parade and Disney gave us all weekend passports (or whatever they were called) for marching in a Tencennial parade as well.

There were groups that would be added to the parade every so often. We really did not have any connection with meeting with any of them as they marched in the front of the parade so we never met with any of them.

As for handling the heat of the suit, start with a partial suit. Clothing as a costume with a head paws and a tail. It is a great way to start.

Odd thing is, that I thought Disney World opened back in the 60s. When we were there for the Tencennial parade, I was in the second of three high schools I went to, so it would've been 1982 or 1983.

You were an amazing performer and an inspiration for many fursuiters.

Rest In Peace :(
