so i am doing this English 10 min - presentation on p.point, with my frnd Krishna. The topic we (or I) chose was Leonardo da Vinci and "levels of meaning" in his art

I hope you're not going to talk abou the MM in the last supper painting.....I thought that part was stupid. If I look close enough the outlines of the people make all sorts of interesting shapes. OMG! I see my initials!!! Davinci predicted mt birth!!!!! *faints*

I've seen a couple documentaries analyzing the Divinci Code and shredding it. (Although we know its fiction, I guess a lot of people took lots of the controversial stuff to be true). Maybe you can find one. Its bound to talk about the paintings since it was such a prominent part in the book. But I'm not sure how easy/difficult this task would be.

Good luck w/ you rpresentation. It looks like you're really orgainized, which is always a good thing.

i was thinking about John looking like Mary Magdalene, and Jesus's potential blood line

and its not all fiction, Dan Brown DOES say that the facts he provides are non-fictitious is sort of like a disclaimer at the front.

Uhm... we watched a Da Vinci biography film in my Ideas/Images class one time ~ as far as trivia/facts go ~ he had a young boy lover and was officially accused of sodomy. *nods* Count on Yue to know the most POINTLESS facts EVAR. *dies*

Oh and Lauren, i personally thought the Mary Magdalene bit was interesting... it DID make sense (about Jesus psbly having a wife) considering the time and jewish customs.

Not that it wasn't intersting. Afterall that what draws most people into the book. ....but specifically the part about the 'M' shapes in the Last Supper painting standing for Mary Mag. was a little silly.

And how come everyone else gets called by their lj or some other code names but me. *pouts* And I don't just mean in this instance, this happenS ALL the time *pouts even more*

Well, NEURAL, I DEFINITELY agree with you about the "M shape" thing, that WAS just plain silly ~ the 'm shape' could've stood for anything...
