Man it really does boggle the mind huh, What Would Mao Do?

Another classic one is when my Chinese female friends say "UGH no way in HELL would I look at him twice! He's obviously <180cm tall. Yeah I'd say ... 178cm but that's just a guess."

Wow, and I thought the US was best at being shallow.... is it true that there's a severe shortage of females being born lately? Such that young men are having a very hard time finding dates? Someone said it was the reason gang violence was on the rise over there.... just wonderin'.

I'm not sure if its related to gang violence, but there is certainly a statistic shortage of women. However, this just means that the poorest of men (usually migrant workers and whatnot) don't have any hope of getting married, etc. As if their lives didn't suck enough as it is...
