My grandparents just forwarded me one of those e-mails from the late 90s that claims that Microsoft will pay you for every person you forward the e-mail along to. I finally finished watching "Pulp Fiction" for the first time. I don't know what inspired me. I was in a dark mood a few weeks back when I started it, but I only just now got around to actually finishing it. I made it back to Orange County after 17 hours worth of traveling and waiting in airports and shuttles and planes. I'm so tired I don't even feel tired anymore. Hopefully I'll sleep well. It's 7:30am in New York. I haven't slept yet. I'm sitting in JFK airport because my original flight had mechanical issues and now there's no way I can make my connecting flight in Cincinnati. I'm in New York! And it is awesome! But I don't have internet in my hotel, so don't expect any more updates than this one for which I am paying 5 bucks for at some internet cafe near Hell's Kitchen.

Great things about my Macbook:

• I've been using it for about an hour and I have 4 hours of battery life left. My old laptop gave me 2.5 hours or so, fully charged. If I didn't do anything too strenuous on it.

This is my first post on my new Macbook, yay!!!

I think I'll be more excited tomorrow. Right now I'm tired and kind of irritated about a few things. I think I'm gonna try to get a good night's sleep for the first time in a while, and see if that helps like they say it does. And then tomorrow I'll go "sqeeeeeeee" all day about my new baby. =)

As a proud former player of Dungeons & Dragons (many's the time we stayed up till 3 or 4 in the morning playing in high school), I feel very saddened by today's death of Gary Gygax, the man who invented the game. His influence lives on in the hearts and minds of nerds, geeks, and dorks everywhere. I'll remember him for having an awesome last name ( Read more... )
