god I hateeeeeeeee those tumblrs. All those Kpop-freaks are making me cringe every time I see something Korean mainstream related. =__='' And really? Jaejoong doesn't look that great.
Well said. I don't really get vast generalizations, but I disagree with a lot of what was said and don't see it as any information you couldn't get from a typical Fu Manchu film from America in the 30's, and we all know how accurate and racially sensitive those are. Anything that boils down to ____ people _____ like this, and _____ people _____ like THIS! isn't going to be your best bet on cultural accuracy. Seriously, life-changing inspiration from fortune cookies? Basically everyone I know treats it like a horoscope, either "so accurate it's creepy and fun and quickly forgotten" or "makes no sense and is obviously meant to apply to everyone and be interpreted in the way that suits the reader best". Also that fortune cookies are invented in America and wikipedia informs me that they are virtually nonexistent in China. Ancient Chinese Secret, huh?
they were trying to be funny but it wasn't funny. it came off as racist but i don't think they know that or care because they still think they're hilarious.
fortune cookies were invented in san francisco or somewhere in california. it's not asian in any way except served in buffets and some of the fortunes were maybe inspired by confucius. americans love confusius.
