I made a few researchs because I have WAYYY too much free time on my hands...
So... enjoy!
Here are some of the funniest/siliest Canadian laws!  (I'm not sure they are all 100% true, but they are all quite funny)

-In Nova Scotia, it is illegal water your grass when it's raining

The scariest part about weird laws is that something had to happen for them even to get considered.

Lmao it's so that America doesn't sell all their shit to us, because Canadians have to earn money too. It actually makes sense because America is wiping out the world's culture by replacing it with their own. I did an essay on it.

CanCon (aka 'Canadian Content' rules)

Its helped a LOT of Canadian bands get their start (especially in the 80's and REALLY in the 90's when our 'music scene' took off), but now its just an excuse to play the same crap over and over to fill the quota, instead of helping unknowns 'get their start' like its supposed to.

(Full disclosure: I work in radio, and have been into Canadian music since childhood....so 'CanCon' is something I have some strong feelings about *L*)

Theses re really great for Balderdash.
"In Canada, a person cannot pay an item that's worth more than 0,25$ with pennies. It's illegal! "

DAMNIT. Me and my friends were going to do this to a really bitchy store owner.

"On Canadian radio stations, every fifth songs must be by a canadian artist. "

I can confirm this, I learnt it in Geography this year. It's to make sure America doesn't rule over Canada.

Hahah go ahead, he musnt be aware of that 0.25$ law...
hehe.

And yeah, I believe that the radio one is a good one. In Quebec, we have another law that forces the radios to play a certain percentage of french music everyday.
