New microphone! and spring break awaiting~
I got a new microphone~! I actually got it a few days ago, but I kinda forgot about it... XD. Compared to my old one (WHICH WAS A MIC THAT CAME WITH THE COMPUTER THAT HAD SUPRISINGLY GOOD QUALITY) it's more.. microphone-ish.. >_>. Like, it looks like an actual microphone.. instead of a stick with a swollen pineapple head =) It has a little static, but my old one had a little static too. I hope this one won't peak so easily, though. I tested it out a little, but my mom was in the house so I couldn't actually record. I just recorded myself talking to her 8D! If I go far away, it doesn't seem to be tinny or anything, so yay! With my old one, if you spoke more than 2 inches away from the mic, it would sound all canny and stuff.
Hopefully I can figure out how to use Adobe Audition (that sanakiru is so kindly sending me now, thank you again!) and remove the excess static. Happy happy~ Oh, erm. It's a Samson C01U USB Condenser. Yeah, I was talking to my mom how it would be such a nice birthday present for my brother (who's birthday was in February) and she was like SURE. They didn't seem to care that it was $120+ total. I wonder if they'd get me a pop screen. >D (My brother actually does a lot of theater and acting stuff, so he can practice on it! =3 But it's for the both of us. heehee)
Stupidest/Weirdest/kill-me-now moment of the day: I was sitting by some lockers eating lunch with my friends (I LOVE CHICKEN SALAD) and this girl came and stepped between us to get to her locker. She dropped like 5 bags out from her locker, and they landed on my friend and I, splattering my friend's pasta all over the place. It was on the floor, it was on our shoes, it was ALL OVER my pants... and the girl didn't even say sorry. T_____T. She just went, "Oh..." and later, "You guys shouldn't eat in front of my locker, see?" So we had to clean up the mess ourselves. She didn't even help by getting a paper towel or anything. :< Witch with a captial B!
Anyway, spring break starts after school tomorrow~!! I can't freaking wait! I just have to get through that English unit test I have first thing in the morning, and then the Socials quiz after that, and I'm good for the day. Maybe spring break will make me miss school a bit~. My parents might be dragging me to a hot spring for 3 days sometimes during the week, though. I don't think they'll be able to, my brother has drama practice all week and I want to record D
