Ratings
Cover: 9/10
Attractive, good visual on the heroine, and captures interest. Nothing outdated.

Characters: 9 /10
Could be more in depth, but the characters are still rich and have their own story.
Except maybe not the heroine...

Story: 8/10
Original, though annoying that it's all written as if in a Diary. The story becomes a bit choppy because of it.

Ending: 6/10
Quick, uninformative, and could be more interesting. Doesn't set itself up well for the next book in the trilogy, or at all.

Overall: 8/10
The settings it gives are richly imagined, plot is good and doesn't slow and drag anywhere. In fact, it could have been a bit more slower and in depth. Again, I enjoyed this book when younger, but found it lacking now. The descriptions of everything by far is the best part.
