yeah. i can't believe it either. (believe what?) well for the past few months i've been drifting through a sort of musical indifference, buying cds and liking them but not really LIKING them. (the strokes, vanessa carlton, goo goo dolls etc, etc, etc....am i the only one who's felt this way about music lately?) this is only a mini crisis of course ( Read more... )

I've actually been liking a couple of there songs lately, too. My husband had downloaded them, and I had no clue what they were but just started listening. So I'm glad to hear the rest of the CD is good as well? :)

i've felt that way about music too lately. i don't know why or how, but it's just music now and it sometimes feels like there's nothing there. like... i'll hear a song, i like it, i'll check out more songs, get the cd - but even that's sort of stopped too. my whole buying cds like crazy thing has passed. before i could recite lyrics from all kinds of songs, and now i just know them with the song only, if that. it's so strange. but you're right... it's like you need an obsession or a passion or something, and i just haven't found that again. it's weird. kinda sad and scary, actually.

i saw phantom planet live two weekends ago, and they kicked so much ass. i've had the cd downloaded or awhile now, but i finally got the chance to burn it right before the show, and it was just so altogether perfect. they are awesome, and i know exactly what you mean about needing music to crave.

i haven't been completely blah about music lately. john mayer and ggd and howie day have kept my busy. in addition to my long standing obsession with the phantom planet cd (hayden is trying to break me of this, of course). but i love that cd. and they are *damn* good live. i saw em open for american hi fi last year and was immediately enthralled.

lol. and the rumors about tizzay and alex greenwald make for good amusement as well.
