Must be willing to take instructions. 
Must not be fearful that they will screw up my dreads beyond repair. 
Must not be timid regarding pulling / breaking apart hair.

Just shortened them. Basically, all the part that had been dyed stupid & was always going to be lighter.

I think they look better, neater. But I have to admit ... I really Really REALLY miss the length. **sniff**
